Stompers
In addition to its training and recreational programs, SRVGAL also maintains an active
"travel-team" program each year. We provide teams at both the "A" and "B" levels.
At some age groups and levels we field multiple teams. Stompers teams are very competitive and require
a high level of commitment. Teams are formed in all five ASA age-group divisions (10U, 12U, 14U,
16U and 18U).
The "Valley Stompers" or "A" Stompers is composed of 12 to 15 of the best players we can
attract to play at a nationally competitive level.
The SRVGAL "Stompers" or "B" Stompers team in each age group is generally composed of the 12 to
15 strongest players in that age group, who are usually selected from the RED and BLUE divisions
after SRVGAL regular-season divisional play. Tryout sessions will be conducted before selections
are made. WHITE level players are eligible for the tryouts, too. "B" Stompers teams play in
about four to eight weekend ASA (Amateur Softball Association of America) class "A" or "B"
tournaments during May, June, July and August. Tournaments are played in locations throughout
Northern California. Our Stompers teams traditionally represent SRVGAL well at National Tournaments
in August of each year.
